Safeguarding

Our children’s welfare is of paramount importance to all members of the Park Hall family. Together we ensure that we always act in the best interests of the child. We aim to ensure that all children achieve the best outcomes and know that they are cared for and supported in their learning journey.

We work in close partnership with our families and other agencies to ensure that together we make a difference. All members of the Park Hall family take their duty to safeguard pupils extremely seriously. If you have a concern about the welfare of a pupil, please discuss this with the team however, anyone can make a referral if you have reasonable cause to suspect that a child has suffered or is likely to suffer significant harm, you can call the Integrated Front Door on 01782 235100 (Mon-Thurs, 8.30am – 5pm and Fri, 8.30am – 4.30pm), or call the Emergency Duty Team on 01782 234234 if you are calling out of office hours, at weekends or on bank holidays.

Mr Surjit Dhami

Our Academy Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner

We are very proud to be working in collaboration with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare to provide mental health and wellbeing support to identified learners in need of support.

We are extrememly fortunate that Surjit is the children wellbeing practitioner for Park Hall Academy and provides targeted help and support to individuals identified as requiring additional support and early intervention. Surjit delivers evidence based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues through face-to-face work with individuals, alongside working with
families. Through the provision of timely advice and support, the school, alongside Surjit, can provide the right support and services to enable learners to remain in school and thrive.
